Anxieties, depression, conflict in relationship and low self worth can make us feel unbalanced. These things make us unhappy, and can make life feel unfulfilling. Isn't it time for you to resolve your difficulties and restore your innate sense of rightness? Counseling can help you overcome depression, anxiety and form and keep better quality relationships.

Who Am I?
My name is Michelle Chabino and I am a Professional Counselor/ Therapist serving the greater Portland Oregon Area. I specialize in individual counseling and therapy for adults and adolescents. I have been working in the Mental Health field since 2005. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Metropolitan State Collage and my Masters degree in Counseling from Regis University in Denver Colorado.

How I work with clients.
When working in therapy I take a holistic approach. I like to look at all aspect of a person including their mental, physical, emotional, social, environmental and spiritual wellbeing. I believe that all of these aspects of our personality integrate together to determine how we act, feel and view the world around us. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my clients' individual needs to help attain the personal growth they’re striving for.

For my clients I offer a collaborative psychotherapeutic approach to therapy where I work with them to help find and uncover their strengths and challenge the negative patterns in their lives. I help provide my clients with an opportunity to develop their since of self by looking at how those negative attitudes, feelings and behaviors are keeping them from finding their true positive potential.

The therapeutic relationship.
In a therapeutic relationship I have a warm, genuine and empathic style that helps offer my clients a supportive and nurturing relationship. I believe that in this type of therapeutic relationship I can help my clients learn how to find their own solutions to their life situations. The therapeutic relationship is an opportunity to explore embedded emotional patterns in a safe and secure space.
